THE HOME OF THE EAGLES

The Agape Elementary School and Academy was founded and established by Rev. Dr. Samuel Kargbo and wife Mrs. Emma Emilia Kargbo on the 24th of September 2012, in a bid to promote quality education for the purpose of raising responsible future citizens with the required discipline to contribute toward national peace and development. It was founded on the principle of “Building the Future Today”. It is a private Christian school reaching out with the love of Christ to her students irrespective of their background. The school commenced with 36 students in 2012 and has grown to 912 within the last eight years.

 

The establishment of the school was necessitated by three factors:

• Low quality education provision by government schools in the Rokel Community, leading to students dropping out of school.

• Unaffordability of parents/guardians to finance their children schooling in high performing schools outside of the Rokel community.

• The community is 80% Muslim dominated and we want to win the community for Christ by winning the young minds first, who in turn will take the gospel massage to their Muslim parents and guardians.

 

The school is registered and recognized as a Private Christian School with the government of Sierra Leone through its Ministry of Education. The school has qualified and committed teaching staff and majority of the students are coming from poor family background. The school is located in a community that is spiritually, economically, socially, and technological challenged.

The school is divided into three categories:

1. The Kindergarten – Ages 2 to 5 years

2. The Elementary school – Ages 6 to 12

3. The Academy – Ages 13 - 18 = The Academy is divided in Junior Secondary School (JSS) and Senior Secondary School (SSS).
